ABOUT

We gratefully share our lives and land with several incredible registered Canadian horses. This breed has always been a favorite of ours but captured our hearts in a big way in 2020. It was around that time that we had the good fortune to meet a local Vancouver Islander who not only raised amazing Canadian horses of his own, but was instrumental in establishing the breed as Canada's national horse.

It is with extreme gratitude that we acknowledge the generosity and mentorship of Dantan Wilson of Woodmont Canadians. The trust he has shown to us by helping us to establish our own breeding program, with some of the most desirable bloodlines in North America, will never be forgotten.

Camelot Canadians, by the very nature of its location and setting, can only be described as horse heaven. The majority of our 48 acre property on beautiful Vancouver Island has been devoted to our beloved Canadian horses. The horses are not confined to a stable here; they spend their days grazing green pastures with free-access to barns, covered shelters, and forests. Heated automatic waterers are installed in the paddocks, providing fresh clean water in every season.

We enjoy having our horses live as part of our family and they are always within close proximity of our home where they can be lovingly interacted with and enjoyed right from the front porch or out the living room window.

The birth of a new foal is a highly anticipated event around here and each new addition is handled daily from their first day of life. Our foals are born in private paddocks or when necessary, in a foaling pen inside the barn and weaning is never rushed. Two separate herds live as naturally as possible on our farm and we strive to give them every opportunity to live healthy, fulfilling and equine-centered lives. It is truly an honor and dream-come-true to be part of this amazing breed and we will strive to do everything we can to help further the good health, recognition, and appreciation of the Canadian Horse.

Willows whiten, aspens quiver, little breezes dusk and shiver, thro' the wave that runs forever by the island in the river, flowing down to Camelot.
